Trim it and then treat it with 3 heated treatments in one salon visit...Send her home with the appropriate Brocato shampoo and Treatment.  I suggest Cloud 9 shampoo, conditioner, and treatment at home and comb Cloud 9 mousse through towel dried hair for as many days as possible until the "Big Day".
